A FILIPINO PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY
As I was doing a reasearch on how we can cut down our sugar intake to fight diabetest and obesity, I came across the website www.allienceforhealthiervt.org. The contect of this website are campaigns used to increase awareness on sugar intake. The aim of this Alliance for a Healthier Vermont (USA) is "Less Suage for Better Health". Consumption of sugar sweetened beverages may be the largest driver of the obesity epidemic according to a 2009 study in the New England Journal of Medicine.

I may say that this is also true here in the Philippines. The creation of House Bill 4021 which is also known as the "Healthy Beverage option Act of 2004" by Representative Kaka Bag-Ao (1st District, Dinagat Island) and Representative Maria Leonor Robredo (3rd District Camarines Sur), insist on the need for the regulation of the availability of beverages to children in schools. "Softdrinks ccontain sugar, artificial sweetener , caffeine, pgosphorus, and carbon acids which have harmful effects in the body," they pointed out. Another proposed bill by Nueva Ecija Representative Estrellita B. Suansing known as the House Bill 3365, aims to impose a 10% excise tax on softdrinks and other sweetended bottled beverages to curb diabetes and obesity in the country.
Speakingof softdrinks and sweetnede beverages that imposd several risks, do you really know how much sugar is added on your drinks? Take a look at the illustration bellow and find out for yourself the shocking truth about your favourite beverage.

According to American Hearth Association, they only recommend no more than 100 calories (6 teaspoon for women) and 15 calories (9 teaspoon for men) of Sugar Intake per day. So again, better RETHINK YOUR DRINK. Cut down on your sugar intake and switch to GREEN STEVIA to enjoy worry free and guilt-free sweetness.
